The best way to build muscles is through strength training. It is important to put together a muscle building routine for the whole body. You can start with an empty barbell and increase the weight as you get stronger.
Proper nutrition is also important. Eating five or six small meals through the day is best. Your energy levels will stay high and you won't feel like falling asleep. Healthful whole grain carbs are a better choice than carbs from white flour. Protein is a necessary ingredient to build muscles.
Sources of protein include eggs, fish, meat, poultry, nuts and beans.
Be sure to avoid sugar and carbs that break down fast. Sugar has a good use: if you want to pack on the pounds! Eating too much sugar also robs you of minerals. Minerals such as potassium and magnesium are important for your health. To keep your energy levels at their highest stay away from carbs that break down easily, like white bread. You do want to eat good fats and eliminate the chemicals. Good fat is found in avocados, nuts and olive oil.
Keep an eye on your nutrition for proper muscle building.
Amino acids which can be found in whey supplements will help you with greater strength and endurance, and ultimately a better workout.
Drink plenty of water through the day and during your muscle building routines. To keep your tissues happy it's best to drink small amounts of water through the day. Don't get to the point where you are thirsty.
If you have the desire, you will achieve your goals.
