How To Get Six Pack Abs
Ordinary ab workouts like crunches are not the best way to get six pack abdominals.
If you are wanting lean, muscular abdoninals, working the major muscles in your body with full body, multi-joint workouts is the best way to achieve your goal. You can burn away your belly fat with this type of workout, since it increases your metabolic rate.
workouts like situps and crunches do make your abdominals stronger, but just don't burn away the fat. These exercises especially don't remove a type of fat called visceral fat. It is visceral fat that is responsible for that beer belly appearance and is found under our abdominal muscles.
Only by increasing your metabolism using full body exercises can visceral fat be burned. Front squats are a good example of a metabolic boosting and full body exercise. You can increase your metabolism further by increasing the intensity of front squats by using weights like dumbbells.
Stand erect holding the dumbbells just below your chin to start the front squats. To keep the proper alignment between your neck and spine, keep your chin up. For proper form, keep your elbows in front of your body. Bend your knees and hips to go to the squatting position. Keep your buttocks above the level of your knees while in a squatting position. You should also keep your knees behind your toes. Return to the standing position after a count of three.
Other examples of high intensity, full body workouts are lunges, renegade dumbbells rows and floor mountain climbers. Routinely performing the full body exercises] combined with eating a proper diet is the key to developing six pack abdominals. This technique is superior to just developing toned muscles on top of fat.
Also important in developing six pack abdominals is nutrition.
If junk food remains a major part of your diet, you won't be able to develop six pack abs. The combination of a proper diet with entire body workouts must be a part of your strategy to get that lean, muscular body that you want.
Basically, using traditional ab workouts, diet pills and ab gadgets just won't get you that six pack abdominal that you want. Your strategy must include a combination of intense, entire body exercises with a well designed meal plan to burn away that tummy fat. Only then can you get that six pack abdominal look.
Remember, a healthy diet and full body workouts are the keys to success in developing six pack abdominals.
