3. There is a great number of people who will think that if they will delve into doing crunches, they will have a good looking abdomen soon. It is not really true and most of the times you will just experience neck and back pains. Also, it doesn’t matter if you will do 1000 reps per day, for they will not have the benefit their number implies.

4. Instead, abs exercises will be your better bet. If you want to replace your crunches with something effective, then the crunches and reverse crunches performed on an exercise ball will be your best bet. The range of motion will also be better and this means more effective training will follow.

5. But if you want something that will push the process a notch further in regards to progress in a short time, then the compound exercises are your best bet and you will be amazed of the results you will get wit them.
